are you kidding me? Knotts went to indy in hopes of getting Leak. if you don't think Leak and Cox knew how to play before they got there, you are crazy.

cox is no better than those other kids he has had since the 80's and 90's that put up a ton in the passing game and never do anything afterwards. it is his system.
leak has been his only legit step up in qb talent that he has had.
the only way we can win it all with this system is have another backfield of flip, marcus and E. thomas and flip only comes around once in a lifetime.

Did he call the plays against Providence? If so, it's going to be a fun year.

Coach H is awsome, he will be a great head coach.

i wish the rules would float both ways.
Lets not say he will be a bad head coach and lets not crown him awsome either.
He will be judged by the rings he brings or doesn't bring like every other raider coach.

that's very shallow. A true fan is unconditional. If you are unhappy, i'm sure Independence would love to have your $5 a week.

How do figure that is shallow?
What do you think of shuller's coaching ability or ed hyatt, do you even remember him?
Like it or not games are played to be one and those that win the most are remember the most.
I guess we are just coming from too different places.

you've just set the standards of being a good coach way too high. Emory went 77-7 in 6 years, look at what Bob Paroli has done. there are lots of great coaches without rings on their fingers. only one team can win that title and its just not always going to be Richmond. its not always going to be Indy either. However, there are many levels of greatness. i'm not saying that Hoggard will take us all the way there, but I can't look at the hundreds of points our offense has scored during his years as OC and really think the has done a terrible job.

There is alot of times parolli barely had enough players to field a team. he has done more with less than any coach i know and he gets credit where credit is due.
what i have a problem with is all the times fans and coaches have put the blame for the lack of a passing defense and a passing game at the foot of the players when they want to learn.

Maybe they tried to learn and couldn't. Passing requires a certain level of skill that just running with the ball doesn't.

I agree that basing a coach's career solely on how many state titles he has won is pretty harsh, but I do not think that is where heelyes was going with that. I think I understand what you are saying, but I was saying that Coach Hoggard is awesome based on his past success. He is a great coach for what is already done, not for what he will or will not do.

williamtell, Richmond can pass they ball. They can also do it without getting picked off every other play like Adrian does.

i'd like to see more passing as well, but if we are winning 12+ games a year running, it's hard to complain.
