I just want to say this. All of us Raider Fans that think we need a change(and there are alot of us) get a lot of greif thrown our way from all different directions.
Heck we cant even get an honest article written by the home town paper. They write articles blasting the fans that believe we need a change and talk about things that were placed on the Raider board that were never there.
then today On Thanksgiving i read an article in the richmond county daily journal by the sports editor talking about things he is thankful for and lo and behold what is one of the things he is thankful for?
"I’m always thankful there is plenty of football to watch this Thanksgiving weekend, and my favorite college team, the Miami Hurricanes, will be playing Boston College on ESPN tonight. The reason I brought this topic up is I’m thankful this will probably be Miami’s last game of the season. It’s been a disastrous season for the ’Canes on and off the field.
Miami needs to beat the Eagles to be bowl eligible, which doesn’t sound right at all. I’d be thankful if the U could qualify for any bowl. However, all people associated with the program will be thankful to get this season behind and move on. This may come off harsh, but I will be thankful if Miami can get a new coach — like Steve Spurrier — to return it back to prominence." From the Richmond County Daily Journal Nov 23, 2006
Well when the sports editor's team isn't living up to his expectations he can call for a new coach and when my team, the Richmond Raiders, do not live up to my expectations his paper calls me a bad fan and tells me what i should and should not say and what i should and should not be thankful for.
Well sir i see no difference in Miami going to an also ran bowl and the raiders getting bounced in the second round.
I too believe my team should have a coach to return my team to prominence. I do not believe the direction this team is going in now will lead us back to prominence. And that Mr Davis and fellow Raider fans does not make me a bad fan.
