I would agree with that. Yes, the coaches do need to be congratulated. I really do see your point that the coaches have help mold these young men into a solid group of football players and hopefully good values that they can carry with them for the rest of their life's. Its all about making the right choices in life and not everything is about football. Its about teaching them respect, leadership, and how to carry themselves in the society we live in. The coaching staff needs a nice pat on the back for a job well done this year.
Let me ask you this: How do you judge success? Do you judge it on how many football games you win each year, how many games you win during the playoffs, or even if bring home the prize of a Championship? Lots of questions to ponder. How does Richmond County judge success of the football team? Alot of people only score a success if the trophy is being hoisted up in the air at the end of the season.
I'm not going to point fingers at anyone. Lets face the facts over the years the talent has always been at Richmond, but sometimes the talent isn't channeled in the right direction that would result in wins or even championships. As Richmond Raider fans, we want the team to play at its very best and give all they got win or lose they know that they had a chance. No one wants to see talent wasted year after year.
I'm sure every-time a player or coach steps on the field alot of pressure is placed on their shoulders because Richmond County Raider Football fans expect alot, however the reason they believe that is they see the talent on the field play each week and believe they have a shot every year to win every game.
The bottom line is support the team win or lose. Coach the team to win not play not to lose. Good luck Raiders as you travel to East forsyth. Keep your head strong and make good decisions on the field and a victory will follow.

Come on now, let's be honest. If Richmond would have lost against WC, everyone woul have been calling for their jobs. WC was a young team with a bunch of sophmores starting. The players did what they were supposed to do against an inferior team. Let's not forget our coaches problems of the past with playcalling and adjustments during the game.

Did you happen to see the NW Guilford game? Did you see the adjustments between the halves?
And btw...it wasn't just the WC game I was basing the praise on. It's how the team has grown since the Byrd loss. Lots of teams would have folded after that one.
And frankly any half@@@ coach can coach a team full of D1 all stars. Taking this team from where they were to where they are is why I am praising them.

Key word: Adjustment
That is the job of the coaching staff, make the correct adjustments when things aren't working.

I think it's curious how everybody thought wc would beat Richmond and now that Richmond has won, its like it was expected. our coaches have done a great job.

The true measure will be tomorrow? If the team comes out firing on all cylinders and plays with lots of heart then truly the Raider presents and swagger is back. The kids have got tons of talent and if they play within themselves and the coaches make the right calls on the field then Richmond will have a good chance to go all the way. Play smart, play hard, and play to win not play to lose.
