Okay Raider fans, former players, former fans, new fans, and anybody that just wants to chime in. Everything is welcome so chime away.
Of the history of the Richmond Raiders, Who has impacted the Raiders the most. You can name a coach, a player, offensive line, defensive line, defense in general or offense in general. Also, can simply enter a impact team of the years. This one is going to be interesting.
I believe the most impact of the Richmond Raider History has to be Coach Barnes.

(Richmond Raider History has to be Coach Barnes)
I would have to go with the Raider, he supported the team for 30 plus years but I could go with Barnes but watching Flip run the ball was an impact on other running back that wanted to be a raider in the future!

It says, We don't care about what the fans think that fill Raider stadium every Friday night, It says we can move on without Mr. Raider but Mr. Raider was our lucky charm, Quiet frankly he was the rock of our program. Little kids and adults loved to come to the games just to watch Mr. Raider do his thang!!! The first thang I looked for was Mr. Raider when I looked on the field... We need a Mr. and Mrs Raider!!! Or a team mascot

I agree Mr. Raider was a big impact to the Raider program and as it looks alot of players looked upto to him and looked for him as the marched onto the field. You can't replace Mr. Raider, but I think you could find someone with the same energy to replace him and his role. You don't need a lucky charm, what the program needs is to get that old swagger back to a winning tradition. I believe a couple of years ago they tired a mascot. What does the program need a person in a costume clowning around on the field. I think Mr. Raider was more than that, he was a inspiration to the Raider program. The history of Mr. Raider goes way back where he made his first outfit or I think his wife made it and it built from there. What the program needs is for the players to play there best and the coaches to make the best calls and plays on the field. Play with heart, and play smart. Play like a Raider! Remember alot of people know what the Raider program is, have we as fans, former players and players forgotten, I surely hope not. Good luck to all the players tomorrow on the field and play your best. If you can make the game lets fill the stands and show the support. The fans are the 12 person and we can stand for what Mr. Raider stood for and that is support the team no matter if they win or loose.
